About Our Speaker
Brooke’s professional journey began in the non-profit sector, she merged her love for helping others with her aptitude for technology. With a passion for problem-solving and a talent for resolving computer issues and improving systems, Brooke earned a Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Boston University.
Her expertise landed her a role in Operations at Postmates, but Brooke’s desire for more flexibility as a new mother led her to transition into freelance Web Development and IT Project Management. Later, as a co-founder of The Pod Works, a co-working space for moms in Tacoma, WA, Brooke observed the power of moms’ economies and set her sights on supporting mom-owned businesses.
This vision led to the creation of Allobee, a platform that blends technology with a community of vetted experts to disrupt the traditional business model of finding and managing freelancers. Brooke led and built Allobee’s product and company to profitability, raised venture funding and then was acquired in 2022 by The Riveter.
Brooke went on to be the Chief Product Officer at The Riveter and continued to grow Allobee’s product that became Riveter work.
Next, Brooke wrote and published a book, The Future Built by Women – Creating a Brighter Tomorrow Through Tech and Innovation, published by Wiley in Spring 2024.
Recently, Brooke has joined forces with The Care Gap (by Mother Honestly) as their Chief Operating Officer. She is passionate that the future of work must be flexible to support families and close the care gap. Brooke is an accomplished mother, author, entrepreneur, speaker and Tech Leader.
