About This Event
Women+ in tech are often balancing far more than what’s visible on paper.
Beyond deadlines, deliverables, and performance expectations, many are carrying an ongoing mental load that includes overthinking, emotional labor, constant self-monitoring, and pressure to prove themselves in high-demand environments.
This session explores the “invisible” factors driving burnout that aren’t solved by better time management or productivity hacks.
Dr. Lauren Chase will break down how cognitive load, internal pressure, and learned patterns contribute to chronic stress and exhaustion, even among highly capable professionals.
Attendees will gain insight into why “doing more” often makes burnout worse, along with practical strategies to reduce mental overload, set more effective boundaries, and create a more sustainable way of showing up at work.
The pressure to keep up, perform, and hold everything together can take a toll. Dr. Lauren Chase, therapist and founder of Climbing Hills Counseling, will unpack the invisible mental load women+ in tech often carry and share practical strategies for preventing burnout.
