I hope you’ve had a fantastic summer and gotten to take some time to recharge!

With back to school in full swing, we have a great volunteer opportunity at Sedgefield Middle School. The Dottie Rose Foundation is launching their Lunch Buddies program to support middle school kids in learning about careers in technology, and support students to enhance their social skills and self-esteem. The program is going to run each semester, both fall and spring. If you’re interested in volunteering, please sign up here.

There are also some fantastic events coming up in our community that I wanted to share:

Google Developer Group is hosting Google IO Extended ’23: Charlotte on August 25th at Slalom Consulting. There will be sessions on AI, Cloud and more!
Women’s Technology Alliance of Charlotte is hosting their next leadership event with founder and CEO of the Pink Mentor Network, Stacy Cassio on August 30th at The Wine Loft!
Women Who Code CLT is hosting their Coffee Chats: August Networking Meetup on Wednesday, August 30th.
Method is hosting a Competing for Loyalty: Digital Strategies for Customer Engagement Tech Talk on September 19th at their new building in Charlotte!
Lastly, registration for Fleurix’s Celebrate Women+ in Technology conference in late October is open! So go grab your spot now!
