Today we are talking with Walter Hall, Magnet Programs Specialist with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.
Walter began his teaching career as an elementary STEM educator in Charlotte, North Carolina. He led a project to transform a PreK – 5 Elementary school into a K-8 STEM School. Most recently, as an administrator developed programs and coursework for the district’s STEM magnet high school focusing on Engineering, Information Technology, and Health Sciences. Walter supports schools within their efforts to expand and implement magnet programs within the district’s vision to lead with choice in providing an experience for students that shapes their future.
The goal of our show today is to talk about how using school choice is helping to fuel the future and how we change the conversation with parents, students, teachers and administrators on the importance of integrating technology in the classroom and school.
